About

Kathleen Sayler always knew she wanted to design clothes. She graduated Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014 with a BFA in Fashion Design. After working in textiles in NYC for a couple years, she was ready to come back to Savannah, GA. Dismayed by the waste, use of hazardous chemicals and questionable manufacturing practices, working in fashion had lost its charm. She launched Sayler Made was launched in 2019 as an exercise in sustainability and nostalgic design. Each suit is inspired by vintage silhouettes and elements, mixed with contemporary fit and techniques.

Fabric:

Each material is carefully selected, with the future of our planet in mind. Our signature luxury Italian ECONYL fabric is made from recycled industrial fishnets, fabric waste from factories and even old office carpets. Our men's trunks are made from recycled water bottles. By digitally printing our fabrics, less water is used than traditional printed methods. Minimal textile waste happens because the exact quantity is printed.

Manufacturing:

Each Each suit is made ethically in beautiful Bali. Each garment worker is paid 3x the living wage, given access to healthcare, an extra month's salary as well an annual profit share. This was especially important to us as most garment workers are women supporting and providing for their families.
